Types of Imaging Studies

X-rays: These are a common form of images taken using a machine that ''shoots'' an X-ray through your body giving us a picture of the bones.

MRI: This is a more detailed, expensive study done using a specialised machine. MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. It gives us great pictures of the soft tissues of the body and is particularly useful in looking at disc problems, or ruling out tumours
.

CT Scan:This is also a more detailed and specialised scan that reveals important information about bone and soft tissue.

What is Health?
Health can be defined negatively, as the absence of illness, functionally, as the ability to cope with everyday activities, or positively, as fitness and well-being.In any organism, health is a form of homeostasis. This is a state of balance, with inputs and outputs of energy and matter in equilibrium (allowing for growth). Health also implies good prospects for continued survival. In sentient creatures such as humans, health is a broader concept.

At KLIC we appreciate the need to target all aspects of your condition to ensure not only improvement in health, but also maintenance of health.

We specialise in the treatment of neuro-muscular-skeletal disorders, in other words problems with nerves, muscles and bones, but we also understand the effect these problems has on your overall health.

Technology and healthcare
At KLIC we believe in investing in technology to help assist us in diagnosis and treatment of conditions. We carry the latest in Surface EMG analysis of the spine, to better image areas of dysfunction in the spine, what we call 'Subluxations'. Click here for more information on myovision.

We have been instrumental in introducing Extra-corporeal Shockwave Therapy into the Malaysian healthcare realm, providing another means of treating tendon problems, besides steroid injections and surgery. Click here for more information.

Your Treatment Plan:

1.Initial Asssessment (Orthopedic, Neurological, Chiropractic examination, Nutritional assessment)
2.Myovision Scan of your spine
3.Request for X-rays, Blood tests, MRI's etc (if needed)
4.Treatment protocol planned (Frequency and number of treatments, Rehabilitation protocol, maintenance)
