FOOT ANALYSIS- the first part of our diagnosis is looking at the biomechanics of the feet. Hyperpronation syndrome has been implicated in many foot, knee, hip and back problems, affecting general blood flow and even accelerating the aging process

Hyperpronation Syndrome can lead to biomechanical alterations that can cause pain literally from head to toe.

Spinal Analysis
The most important part of your examination. Checking out and anlysing the biomechanics of the spine.

Looking at how every joint in your body functions to ensure a normal distribution of weight and function throughout the body.

When two joints in the spine are not aligned, a subluxation developes. This starts of as a painless entity, but gradually causes changes in the joints, ligaments and muscles around it, while the localised inflammation affects the conduction of impulses along the nerve.

Traditional approach to painful conditions
Disease Model/Anti-inflammatory model
Medicine has brought about major changes in our lifestyle. We are able to look younger, live longer and function more effectively largely due to the drugs scienticists have discovered and MD's have prescribed.

However the advent of pain killers and anti-inflammatories seems to have coincided with the frequency of surgical procedures aimed specifically at 'curing' aches and pains as well as delaying the seeking of proper care for these problems.

Chiropractic utilises a PREVENTATIIVE MODEL, in other words, we are interested in preventing problems rather than waiting for them to occur.

Common problems-Online Diagnosis

Most musculoskeletal problems involve 3 broad categories:

Acute-of a recent onset usually related to a physical injury i.e a fall, a sprain, a twist etc. This is usually the first time such a problem has occured

Chronic/Recurrent-this is a long standing problem that is related to a previous injury/problem

Acute on chronic-this is a first time problem that has probably been developing over a long period of time and has now presented itself. by telling you its there.

The commonest problems we see involve:

Low back pain
Neck pain/headaches
Knee pain
Shoulder pain
Foot problems
Tendinous injuries
